While working as a contractor for NeuroLogix Technologies, I developed the iPhone version of the Concussion app, building on the success and goals of the original iPad version created for Cleveland Clinic. My responsibilities included designing and coding the iPhone app to ensure it retained all the critical functionalities, such as assessing balance, reaction time, vision, and memory, essential for evaluating and managing sports-related brain injuries.
The iPhone version of the app was designed to be as user-friendly and efficient as the iPad version, allowing athletic trainers, physical therapists, and physicians to easily compare post-concussion data with an athlete's baseline data.
One of the significant challenges was adapting the app's features for the smaller screen size while maintaining accuracy and ease of use. To address this, I focused on optimizing the UI/UX design, ensuring that all tests and modules were intuitive and accessible.
The iPhone version successfully expanded the app's reach, providing a portable and effective tool for concussion management across various settings.
