In my free time, I developed BuildMonkey: a Ruby on Rails application that managed builds for mobile development. I presented this tool as a solution to problems at my day job at Cleveland Clinic, where it was later adopted to manage their mobile development process.
This project helped solve the problem of distributing builds to testers and stakeholders when using the Enterprise distribution method of iOS development. Due to the nature of the Enterprise distribution method, it was difficult to manage builds and ensure that the correct version was being tested. BuildMonkey solved this problem by providing a web interface to upload and manage builds, as well as a way to notify testers when a new build was available.
